"Moonlight Escapade"
Hey there!! How’s it going? Hope you all safe and healthy.
Welcome to another memory lane,
Moonlight Escapade fancy isn’t it ;) it is one of my favorite getaway memory.
The evening and night escapes are the best. I had my best evening and night
slip away, Of course in BELGAUM.
Those were the days I was away from home learn to live on my own. For an initial couple of years, I enjoyed my hostel
life, and in the next couple of years, I rented an apartment with your besties. Isn’t
that everyone’s dream?? Well, I was lucky enough to live that. Here is little
something about short escapes.
Experts say one should consider a brief
getaway, a weekend trip or a stroll in the local area can boost your mental and
emotional health. From an emotional and well-being perspective, smaller
getaways pack a bigger punch than longer ones. A small amount of planning and
time away can reap large rewards. Organizing a brief getaway is easier to plan
than a longer vacation. Shorter trips are also less expensive. Many people
become stressed out over planning and paying for a longer trip. Organizing a
longer trip entails taking several factors into account. It's easier to plan
and follow through on smaller breaks. sometimes you don't even have to plan and just follow your instincts. That means less stress and anxiety.
Getting away by yourself or with friends, with your partner, can be a great way
to reboot your relation.
Places such as Belgaum Fort, Fort Lake,
Kamal Basti, Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, Jamboti, and many more places, these were
short getaway for me.
Fort Lake and Belgaum Fort are most commonly visited by local folks.
Fort Lake is like skyline azure and the atmosphere was convent quiet. It was soothing and yogi still. Freckled fishes were leaping for flies and thunking on its surface. The sundown caused a mesmerizing view of the sky. The scene was so glorious that I had a lightning bolt moment. It never fails to break my train of thought. The damp grass smelled utopian. There's a small island to the lake right in its center. Everything was like a potion for the spirit.
Kamal Basti in Belgaum is a gateway to
temples that paints a story about ancient dynasties. It is one such relic that
was built in the early 12th century during the Ratta Dynasty.
The name, 'Kamal' takes inspiration from the architecture of its dome which is shaped like a beautiful lotus. Out of its 72 petals, 24 pay respect to the last 24 Thirthankars, and the remaining 48 are kept untouched for the future Jain prophets. The two pillars on either side of the ceiling have inscriptions in the historic Nagari script. You can also find the ruined relics of another temple within the complex. One can have a lovely time with their loved ones here.
Suvarna Vidhana Soudha is the second legislative building of the government of Karnataka and is situated at Belgaum. The main structure is crowned by a mammoth dome and there are 6 smaller domes dotted around the building. This place is to be viewed from outside. An evening drive or a ride here is worth it. It glows up at the dusk :)
My best before dawn escape was at Jamboti. I had this group of people who invited me to their night spree. I can’t thank you guys enough to take me with you.
No plans as such just met them in the evening and got myself invited to someplace where I have never been before. I was assured I’ll be dropped back home during dawn. That was exciting. Had no clue about weather there, how different it would be? It is just 45 mins away from Belgaum. I wore my casuals (big mistake). It was around 10 pm we drew off. The ride was loaded with all the beverages, snacks, booze, and few blankets (wish that had ranged some bells in my head, “it’s gonna be cold out there”. It dint) the path was a tree avenue. We pulled over at open space under the dark blue wintery sky. Yes, it was chilly out there. As we built a bonfire I saw my chances of survival, just kidding. The cherry on the top was, there was a grandpa looking person who had a rural eatery place of his, he cooked mouthwatering dinner for us. Nothing fancy but delectable. He also stayed up and made us tea before we leave. That was a blessing. Once you visit this place you definitely get addicted to it.
Hope you enjoy reading my moonlight
escapade see you guys soon with another interesting getaway story.
Gracias <3
