“Daytime Jaunt”

Hey there!

How’s it going? I know a little mediocre due to pandemic but every dark cloud has a silver lining. So hang in there, will get through this soon.

So, I thought of getting you guys a little nostalgic with me. Some memorable things everyone did during their college days. Do you recall the feeling you use to get during exams, couldn’t wait to get done with it but have to deal with it of course once it’s done, “Aaah” over and out studies!! I did my bachelor's in Belgaum (For those who have no idea about Belgaum/ Belagavi, it’s a cosmopolitan city in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. The city is situated on the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka, it has a delightful climate. That is one of the best things about Belgaum ‘The climate’) away from home. Hostel life, many of you can relate innit? Especially my Belgaum mates.

Belgaum…. I always take a deep breath saying that. It holds a special place in my heart. I remember the time when we use to amm not exactly bunk lectures as the college was strict about attendance but just take a break from hectic practical and lectures and just head off somewhere. Belgaum has some bustling and fascinating places nearby to visit, not just nearby but also within the city like one can just take a spin to ‘Hanuman Nagar’ or ‘Camp area’ or a short walk in that locality, the vibe will cheer you up in no time. You name it and magically some of the other places in Belgaum will match with your wish list.

You wanna know one of the best parts about Belgaum, Goa is102 km that's like 2hrs 42 mins to reach to your vacation place. If you know what that means :D  (In my case it's my second home. FYI:- My Goa plans never fail XD )

Early morning rides to waterfalls like Amboli, Tillari, Sundi, and many more. Visiting waterfalls on monsoon days makes the outing get more interesting. Getting completely drenched with rain, feast on typical monsoon street food like bhutta – Pakoda –Vada Pav - Tea/Coffe sometimes Maggi. It’s like the perfect food for the perfect mood.

Tilari Waterfall

Tilari waterfall is to die for, such a beauty, just look at it…<3

Sundi waterfall

To go Sundi waterfall you had to walk down the pile of rocks but the view was worth it- TOTALLY. You can google these all places for directions.

Amboli waterfall

Do you know? On the way down to the famous waterfall of Amboli (it’s a hill station in South Maharashtra India, around 67.9km from Belgaum) you will like to get down to the famous spot for reverse waterfall called Kavala Shet or Kavle sad. Get memorized into the mist at Kavlesad, if you are ready to get wet, then you have a nice seating arrangement done just in front of the reverse waterfall!! It’s like the garden of Eden o:-)

kavlesad Point (Reverse waterfall at Amboli)

These all places aren't far from Belgaum, it takes just morning to evening period. How can one resist waterfalls…!? Just take care you don't do something irrational.

The afternoon getaways were at rakaskop dam, at its reservoir (pond-like area) where one can swim and have some water fun or have a lively time of their lives standing in the pond watching the sun merges with the water. At its shore, there's a grove stretch where you can have a picnic. Cook food, photoshoot, settle down and chill. Whatever floats your boat!

There are certain things you should take care of while going to your destination take your time to get there, most of such places like waterfalls, lakes, and others have earthen or gravel type of roads so don’t use your 'city road riding skills' there.

It is rightly said by experts that “A long stretch of road can teach you more about yourself than a hundred years of quiet”.

Stay tuned for my next post “moonlight escapade”, those experiences are one of my favorite ones. These little breaks help me connect people, freshen up my mind, and helped me make unforgettable memories with those warm-hearted jackholes.

Thank you so much for taking out time and reading my post. Take care.😇
